The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Universitas Diponegoro, and IndoDairy Team collaborated on a capacity building program to improve lecturers’ competency in the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method. Twenty participants attended the event. The head of the IndoDairy UNDIP team, Dian Harjanti, Ph.D., stated that this collaboration was aimed to facilitate lecturers’ needs to overcome obstacles in research methods. Through this activity, participants will understand the correct and effective steps in the research especially data gathering process, particularly in the use of the PRA method.

The Head of the Master’s Program in Agribusiness, Siwi Gayatri stated that this training helps lecturers develop research oriented towards community empowerment and services as an effective strategy for connecting academic learning with community service.

Kadhung Prayoga, a lecturer from the Agribusiness Study Program, added that participants were also given the opportunity to design PRA-based research proposals, which can be implemented in academic and community service activities.
