On various occasions, the role of alumni in advancing the quality of formal educational is often forgotten. In fact, alumni are important assets that must be embraced and developed as early as possible. One thing that needs to be realized and becomes a necessity, all students who successfully undergo a period of education on campus will eventually become alumni. This means that one indicator of the success of the educational process can be seen from the success of alumni in carrying out their roles at higher levels of education as well as in various fields of work that they carry out professionally according to their interests and abilities.
Alumni are also expected to be able to develop networks after their graduation. Network development by alumni is a strategic potential to open various opportunities and increase the competitiveness of an educational alma mater because the benefits will have a direct impact on students and fellow alumni. The creation of business opportunities, work and internships, scholarship opportunities, as well as the circulation of various kinds of important information about the world of education and work are some concrete examples that alumni can contribute through their networks. In this case, one of the forums that needs to be develop and get support from FPP Undip is the alumni association. Through organizing alumni in a professional manner, various kinds of opportunities will be well communicated.
One of the activities initiated by the Undip FPP Alumni Association which is incorporated in IKA ANIMAGRIKAUNDIP is community service activities in Sukorejo Village, Sambirejo District, Sragen Regency. The benefit of this activity is the existence of harmonious cooperation and synergy between alumni and the alma mater (FPP Undip) and the community. It is hoped that this activity will have a major impact on sustainable community development in the future and increase FPP Undip’s branding in the community.
