Rawa Pening Lake in Semarang Regency, Central Java is one of 15 lakes prioritized for saving based on Presidential Decree No.60/2021 due to the high rate of sedimentation.
Based on several existing problems, potentials and opportunities, it is very necessary to immediately carry out research to examine the use of the double pot soil block method based on Rawa Pening lake sediments. This research is to analyze its feasibility both from technical, economic and environmental aspects as an effort to reduce the shallowing of the Rawa Pening lake area due to ongoing sedimentation and as a solution to stabilize chili production and efficiency of chili farming. The double pot soil block method for cultivating chilies is an innovation with a high level of novelty because research has never been carried out before.
This research was conducted between the Research Center for Sustainable Production Systems and Life Cycle Assessment of the Energy and Manufacturing Research Organization of the National Research and Innovation Agency and the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University. The person in charge of BRIN is Dr. Miranti Dian Pertiwi, S.P., M.Sc.
