Even though the number of rabbit breeders and the number of rabbit farming in Semarang City is quite stable every year, however, the number of entrepreneurs processing rabbit products and their processed products is still low. The skills and abilities of processing workers are still low. Apart from that, problems regarding capital are also often encountered in the field. For this reason, training and technical guidance for business actors especially for processing rabbit products needs to be increased in number.
One of the lecturers at Agribusiness Master Program, FPP Undip, Prof. Dr. Ir. Titik Ekowati, M.Sc., participated as a resource person for Livestock Processing Training and Marketing (P2HP) in Rabbit Farming Business Development and it was coordinated by Semarang City Agriculture Service. Prof. Titik stated that the lack of business actors of processing rabbit products would be used as a basis for increasing training and technical guidance activities. Product processing is very important, especially in today’s modern society.
“It is our duty to continue to provide guidance to the community. “The hope is that with the technical guidance that will be implemented later, business actors processing rabbit products can rise and create products that are highly competitive,” said Prof Titik.
