Taking place at the Grand Candi Hotel on January 5th, 2024, Universitas Diponegoro held a Curriculum Workshop Facing the Implementation of Permendikbudristek Number 53 of 2023, and evaluation of curriculum documents, which was attended by Vice Rector Universitas Diponegoro, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Sc.

In his speech, Prof. Suharnomo said that Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 53 of 2023 certainly has implications for the development of curriculum in the future. There are several important changes, starting from the number of credit learning loads to the process of learning process, work load and other processes. Apart from that, this activity will also be used to review study program curriculum documents and Semester Learning Plans (RPS), to make adjustments based on new regulation.

In the next session, the Chair of LP2MP UNDIP Prof. Dr. Ir. Setia Budi Sasongko, DEA, said that the 2024 curriculum which was designed must be able to respond to changing times and the very rapid development of science and technology, especially linked to the Era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the Era of Society 5.0. He clearly stated the rationale for the change and the implications of increasing the credit load by considering that activities outside of classroom learning can be rewarded with credits by considering the study hours needed to complete these activities.
