The research with the title “Development of an Inclusive and Sustainable Forest Village Business Institutional Governance Model and Strategy in the Mount Tampomas Sumedang Natural Tourism Park Area”, it is research in the OR TKPEKM – BRIN 2023 Program House, which is a collaboration between BRIN and Agribusiness Master Program FPP Undip.

The objectives of this research are aimed at: (1) identifying the causes of the relatively high conditions of poverty and vulnerability in communities around forest areas; (2) assess the impact of conditions of poverty and vulnerability on sustainable livelihoods from a social, economic and ecological perspective for communities around forest areas; and (3) formulate appropriate business institutional governance models and strategies for the development of sustainable livelihoods for the community. The research was conducted in Padasari Village, Cimalaka District.

The findings show that poverty in Padasari Village has reduced with the number of young people doing business in the city. Thus, the existence of the Mount Tampomas Natural Tourism Park Area had not a social and economic impact except from the environmental aspect. In order to improve community welfare in economic and social aspects, a business institutional governance model is needed with a main institution that coordinates and facilitates mutual cooperation between the community, government and the private sector.
